Classy and Elegant Bridal Shower

I threw a bridal shower for the lovely bride-to-be, Megan Whitmore. After talking to her about why she loved her wedding dress I decided to have the party’s theme reflect elements of her dress– classy and elegant. I have always wanted to incorporate a chandelier into one of my events and this felt like the perfect opportunity to have it. My favorite part of this shower though was the baby’s breath flower balls. It was very rewarding to make these flower balls myself and they added the perfect touch to the party and emulated the texture of her dress. The got the idea for the invitations from the Martha Stewart website and they turned out great!

I thought I would leave you with a little tip: fresh flowers can do wonders for a party but if you can't afford real flowers finding a nice faux arrangement will have the same effect.

Whimsically Pink Baby Shower

I had the pleasure of throwing a baby shower for Tiersha Whitmore. It was her first baby and they were expecting a girl! The shower was a brunch held at the mom-to-be’s home and the inspiration behind my decorations was whimsically pink. I used burlap with the pink for a vintage texture then fresh roses, striped straws, pink books and mason jars to add a whimsical touch to the party. It was also fun for the guests to get a look at what Tiersha and her husband looked like when they were babies. I had so much fun planning this party and seeing how happy she was when all of her friends and family came to be with her.

I thought I would leave you with a little tip! At this baby shower the sister of the mom-to-be said that we should supply envelops and have the guests write their name and address on them so that thank you notes are super easy for the guest of honor.
